The Choirs​
FIFTH MEASURE
This is an auditioned advanced contemporary a cappella mixed choir. Students sing a variety of pop music and are expected to be proficient sight readers. During the Holiday season, the group is known to dress in traditional Dickens attire and carol for many organizations throughout the Memphis area. Fifth Measure students are required to be in Concert Choir. Auditions are early Spring and consist of callbacks. A Booster Club fee is required.

TREBLE CHOIR HONORS
Treble Choir Honors is a select ensemble for treble voices (sopranos and altos) looking to expand their vocal skills in an ensemble setting. This intermediate-level course develops tone quality, blend, sight-reading, and part independence through diverse and challenging repertoire. Students are expected to demonstrate growing musicianship and a commitment to rehearsals and performances.

Grades: By audition only, 9-12
Prerequisites: Audition and prior ensemble experience
Requirements: Audition, course fee, and purchase of performance apparel. Fall and Spring semester required.
CONCERT CHOIR HONORS
Concert Choir Honors is the most advanced choral ensemble designed for experienced singers who exhibit high levels of vocal ability, musicality, and dedication. Students will perform advanced repertoire and perform at concerts, community events, festivals, and competitions. Students are expected to demonstrate growing musicianship and a commitment to rehearsals and performances.
Grades: By audition only, 9-12
Prerequisites: Audition and prior ensemble experience
Requirements: Audition, course fee, participation in All Southwest Honor Choir auditions, and purchase of performance apparel. Fall and Spring semester required.
MIXED CHOIR
This ensemble is designed for students with beginner to intermediate experience in choral singing. Mixed Choir focuses on building a strong foundation in vocal technique, music literacy, and ensemble skills. Students will perform a variety of choral repertoire and learn the fundamentals of singing in a group setting. No audition and previous choir experience is required—just a willingness to learn and grow through music! Students will perform in school concerts and events throughout the year.
